The Cremated Collection was launched on May 22, 2020. The collection was exclusive to the Jeffree Star Cosmetics website. It consisted of an eyeshadow palette that has 24 colors, 4 lip glosses, 2 makeup bags, a metal straw set, and several mirrors that would complete the collection. We also have a review of the Conspiracy palette which is a collaboration that Jeffree did with Shane Dawson.
The eyeshadow palette is a dream for anyone wanting to explore creating a smokey look but it can be so much more. Each color is given a specific name and stamped with one of 4 pictures: Jeffree’s signature Star with an added halo, hearse, headstone, and urn.
Cremated Eyeshadow Palette
The Cremated Eyeshadow Palette features 24 shades from matte black, a variety of greys and 7 beautiful metalics. All the names go right with the cremated theme. Hearse, Grave Digger, Embalmed, and Last Respects just to name a few. Jeffree spares no expense with the packaging for the palette. It has a marbled outer cover that gives you a glimpse of the inner picture which features Jeffree himself for the first time on any of his collections.
The lid is magnetic so that it will not easily open and comes with a protective cover over the shadows to keep them safe. The palette also features a large mirror. On the back of the Cremated palette you will find a list of ingredients for each of the eyeshadow colors.
It is Made In USA and anyone that knows Jeffree also knows that his products are Vegan and Cruelty-Free. The expiration date as located on the back of the palette. This one happens to be 12 months. It cost $58 and sold out in 8 minutes.
The Gloss
There are 4 featured lip glosses in the Cremated Collection. Coroner’s Kiss, Heaven’s Gate, Funeral Parlour, and Six Feet Under. Each has a unique grey tone with sparkles and cost $18. They can be used alone or with a lipstick to give it that extra pop. Coroner’s Kiss has a touch of grey with gold sparkles. Heaven’s Gate is an icy touch with white sparkles. Funeral Parlour is a gunmetal grey with white sparkles. Six Feet Under has a tint of black with white sparkles. Each gloss smells like vanilla crème brûlée and is non sticky. There is a limit of 4 per color.
Makeup Bag and Travel Bag
There are two bags to add to the collection. The White Marbled vegan leather make up bag is smaller, features an inner zipper, and cost $25. The Black Marbled vegan leather Travel Bag is larger, has a mesh zipper pocket inside, and cost $30.
Cremated Metal Straw Set
Next in the Cremated line is the Metal Straw Set for $19.99. It comes with 3 bent and 1 straight straw plus a cleaning brush. They are stainless steel, fit 20-30 oz tumblers and are made in China. I personally use these straws and love them. I like that every set comes with a cleaning brush and I’ve never had a metallic aftertaste.
Jeffree Star Cosmetics vs JSC Official Retailers
There is a long list of Official Retailers for JSC that can be found on his website under F.A.Q. I have ordered JSC products from Morphe (US) and BeautyBay (UK) but I personally prefer ordering directly from the Jeffree Star Cosmetics website. They go that extra mile with their packaging. Everything is coordinated from the box, paper, sticker, and the very cool postcard that is specific to that launch.
Shipping
Shipping is free for orders over $125 domestic and $175 international when ordering from the JSC website. Otherwise it is calculated based on weight and what shipping method you choose. Their website lists the estimated time it takes based on what you have selected. This can be found under the F.A.Q. section on the site.
At the moment, due to COVID-19, shipping is taking much longer than normal. They have tracking on your purchase once it ships via email or text, but it needs some work. It does not update properly. My order still said it was in California the day before it was delivered in Tennessee.
Side Note: JSC puts a limit on each color or product you can purchase, per person, per month. They will cancel and refund your order if you exceed the limit allowed.
Return Policy
Items must be returned within 14 days of delivery. It can take up to 7 business days to process a return and you will be notified by email. No exchanges and they trash all returned items. More information can be found in the FAQ section on the JSC website.
Restock
On June 20, 2020 there was a massive restock of the Cremated Collection at JSC and JSC Official Retailers. Jeffree announces restocks on his social media platforms.
